Why Choose Mind Over Borderline Therapy

Feeling lost under the weight of sadness, anxiety, and darkness is terrifying. But hear this—you are not broken, and this is not the end of your story. Within you lies an incredible strength, a light that has never gone out. Our mission is to help you reconnect with that light, guide you toward healing, and remind you that you are meant for so much more. Together, we’ll create a path that honours your unique journey—one of growth, self-discovery, and a deeper connection to yourself and the world around you.

Mind Over Borderline Therapy offers individualized, compassionate care with a focus on evidence-based and trauma-informed treatment. We provide a holistic, client-centered approach to support individuals navigating BPD, complex trauma, PTSD, and other emotional challenges. With a strong commitment to advocacy and the rights of individuals, we create personalized treatment plans that foster healing, empowerment, and lasting growth. We are also deeply committed to supporting the people who are impacted by the challenges of a family member or friend with a BPD diagnosis and are ready to support them as they learn to take care of themselves and their loved one. Healing isn’t about perfection; it’s about letting go of what no longer serves you, rediscovering joy, embracing truth, and finding meaning in the moments that matter. It’s about stepping into the life you were always meant to live. If you’re ready to feel seen, heard, and supported—and start writing a new story— we are here to walk beside you!

Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) Therapy

BPD affects every part of life, but with the right therapy and therapist, healing and growth are possible. I offer a tailored, individualized approach, drawing from multiple evidence-based therapies like DBT, attachment theory, and eclectic methods to address the unique needs of each client. Whether you’re starting therapy for the first time or need support while navigating a current DBT program, we’ll work together to not only manage symptoms but also explore your identity, understand your diagnosis, and achieve lasting peace. My goal is to support you in every aspect of healing, from emotional regulation to relationship-building and acceptance.

As someone who has personally navigated BPD and the mental health system, I understand what it’s like to feel misunderstood and to search for the right answers. I’ve walked this path without anyone who truly “got” me, which has fueled my passion for advocacy, safety, and providing resources for others. With years of experience and a commitment to creating a safe, supportive space, I aim to empower you to understand yourself fully and self-advocate for the care and support you deserve.

Depression Therapy

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by sadness, hopelessness, or lack of motivation, you’re not alone. Depression can show up in many forms: whether it’s part of a BPD diagnosis, a separate depressive disorder, or just chronic feelings of emptiness and disconnection. It can sometimes feel like a darkness that’s hard to explain, one that’s been with you for a long time, or one that comes and goes in waves. Identifying what’s going on can be difficult, but understanding your own experience is the first step toward healing.

In therapy, I take a client-centered approach to help you identify patterns, develop coping skills, and build a foundation of resilience. We won’t just rely on popular  cognitive behavior models, but will also deeply explore what’s behind the depression—what might be hiding in the shadows that you’ve yet to uncover. I’ll work with you to reconnect with that lost spark, find meaning, and understand how your depression may actually be signaling something deeper. It’s about meeting you where you are, and walking the path together toward rediscovering joy and hope.

Anxiety Therapy

Do you feel like you’re constantly worried—like something is always weighing on your mind?

Anxiety doesn’t have to stem from major life events. Often, it’s the small, persistent thoughts that chip away at your sense of peace—leading to overthinking, rumination, and restless nights.

Since my own diagnosis, I’ve dedicated my life to understanding anxiety—not as something to fight, but as something to explore. Through years of lived experience and clinical training, I’ve learned that anxiety has a purpose. It serves a function. And when we understand it, we can begin to shift that anxious energy into something more constructive, grounded, and life-affirming.

There are many ways we’ll explore and work with your anxiety, such as:

  • Learning powerful, evidence-based calming strategies

  • Challenging unhelpful thought patterns that keep you ‘stuck’

  • Building practical tools that help you feel more in control

  • And creating space for clarity, presence, and peace

I will meet you exactly where you’re at, with compassion and curiosity—not judgment. Together, we’ll create a personalized path toward a more balanced and empowered life.

Support for Loved Ones of Individuals with BPD

Supporting someone with BPD can be both challenging and deeply meaningful. I offer guidance to family members and partners, teaching effective communication strategies, conflict resolution, and how to set healthy boundaries. It’s about more than just managing behavior—it’s about fostering empathy and understanding, and breaking down the fear and confusion that often surround BPD.

I make myself available to coach and support family members of those working through DBT therapy, whether by helping with specific behaviors that are impacting relationships, or by providing ongoing guidance to those supporting my clients in either joint or individual sessions.

The journey to mutual understanding is deeply heartening, not just for the individual navigating the diagnosis, but also for the loved ones who are learning to see through a new, more compassionate lense. Together, we’ll work on creating a balanced dynamic where both sides feel heard, valued, and supported.
