Melanie Goldman (she/her)

I am a registered psychotherapist with a Master of Arts in counselling psychology. I am also a mental health advocate, motivational speaker, writer, spiritual guide, musician, and a passionate advocate for individuals living with Borderline Personality Disorder.

For more than a decade, I have volunteered within the mental health community and shared my experiences on podcasts such as From Borderline to Beautiful and The BPD Bravery Show. I am also a cast member of the YouTube series The BPD Bunch and have completed professional peer facilitator training for BPD through Emotions Matter.

My professional training includes Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), among other modalities. I continue to explore complementary therapeutic, holistic, and spiritual approaches, such as Usui Reiki and shamanic practices, and I have already received over three certificates in these areas as of 2026, with more to come.

Various media outlets and organizations have recognized my advocacy work and lived experience with BPD. I have presented on numerous panels and delivered a keynote address for the North American Society for the Study of Personality Disorders (NASSPD) in 2026.

Through supporting hundreds, if not thousands, of individuals affected by BPD, I have developed a profound understanding of the challenges people face and the importance of compassionate, community-centered support.

BPD has touched my family deeply, affecting both my sister, Jackie, and my grandmother, Rae. Their experiences inspire my mission to help others discover their own “Rae of Light in the Darkness” and find hope, healing, and meaning along their journey.
